LG Optimus Vu Announced 5″ IPS Smart Phone with 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor


We recently got a teaser from LG about their upcoming smartphone which will eventually compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note device. With those rumours it was clear that LG will unveil this handset at upcoming Mobile World Congress which is going to be held at Barcelona from February 27 till March 2012, but it seems like Korean based manufacturer is no longer can await. Its clear that its not just LG Optimus Vu, LG will also launch L Style series of mobile phone with the announcement of Optimus L3, L5 and L7 smartphones.

The Optimus Vu by LG is a 5 inches large screen display providing viewing pleasure and while maintaining a 4 : 3 aspect ratio, it provides optimum readability. The screen is made up of LCD with 650 IPS display. LG officially made an announcement of this handset today in Korea and this handset will be sold in Korea starting via SK Telecom this March. It will be launched in various parts of the world in the second quarter.

It’s powered with 1.5 Ghz dual core processor and comes with 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash support. It has 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera which can be used for video chat and video calls. The phone is equipped with 32 GB internal memory storage so that you can store your favorite music and library collection of video songs, movies and lots more. Along with that 2080 mAh battery will be perfect enough to power this mobile with sufficient hours of battery life. Android version included in this mobile phone would disappoint you as you would like to taste out Ice Cream Sandwich when you are buying a smartphone now, but this one is with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and don’t worry of ICS on this as it slated to be released in April 2012 and we are sure that it will support it very easily.

Additionally this phone comes with Quick Note accessible from the top, which is eventually a start up screen to create notes with one push of button from any screen or app wherever you are. With the powerful processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon using the latest development of S3, this phone will be able to provide the newly launched 4G LTE speeds via SK Telecom. This smartphone is slim at 8.5 mm thickness and its among the slimmest phones of all the LTE smartphones currently seen in the market.
According to document released by LG, it will come with Rubberdium pen as stylus allowing users to perform tasks like writing notes, making little drawings. This Rubberdium pen stylus pen will support Optimus Vu’s supporting applications.

With the launch of LG Optimus Vu, they have unveiled the battle of the biggest Android smartphones. Though Galaxy Note is standing at 5.3 inches is 3 inches larger than this, one can clearly say that this is not the exact copy of the Samsung’s revolutionary device. The idea however by LG is clear as compete with Galaxy Note as it is a big hit in the market. Be sure to check out the newly announced LG Optimus Vu which a 5 inches smartphone or maybe it can be called as phablet ready to take on Galaxy Note as a competitor.
