Olivetti Announces OliPad & OliPad Graphos Tablets – Specs & Features

Over a year now, Olivetti, Italy based electronics firm is in the line of tablet manufacturing and they have previously come out with 7 inches OliPad Smart and 10 inches OliPad 110 tablet previously a year ago in Italy. Heading to NVIDIA, they have recently launched Tegra 3 processor and this opens doors for some faster digital tablets and smartphones coming up in the next few months. It would be interesting to see who comes first. Olivetti is certainly prepared for it and they have today announced their upcoming two tablets.
Olivetti OliPad
Olivetti OliPad tablet has some serious specifications under its belt. Its sports a 10 inches IPS display screen with maximum resolution as 1280 x 800 pixels. It has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and comes with Near Field Communication technology. The real good feel is the quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor will be deployed in this tablet and the Italian manufacturer is looking to make it big this time as they previous two models OliPad 100 and OliPad went down the wire. Its certain that this tablet will be powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Olivetti also came up with OliPad Graphos Android tablet and we don’t have exact specifications of this tablet until now. At this time we can say that its will be powered with dual core Tegra 2 processor, which means it’s the lighter version of OliPad. Unlike OliPad it will have 8 inches IPS panel display screen with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. The good thing about this tablet is that it will be sported with high accurate WACOM digitizer for full stylus support just like as that we see in Galaxy Note by Samsung. But this wouldn’t be a cheap alternative of Galaxy Note or LG Optimus Vu as well and we hope it shows no where in competition with Galaxy Note just like Optimus Vu. The tablets weights 600 grams.

Italian manufacturer, Olivetti will power this tablet with NFC for payment and communication with NFC enabled devices. Certainly the NFC feature is worth now and this would add to good features list to the tablets. We just need to wait for some time to discover complete details about these tablets.
As of now there is no exact release date or the pricing were released about these tablets in the market. Maybe it will be out in Q2 this year and we will learn more about this tablets by Olivetti as the launch is very near.
