The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system has been updated to few top end smartphones Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation and Sensation XE and Archos G9 Android tablet yesterday. As of now Motorola Xoom has received the Android 4.0 update early last month but none of the other Motorola products have gone through Android 4.0 update. Motorola Razr which is first among the Android 4.0 capable smartphone from the Motorola Mobility still hasn’t got any update. Yes, we have an update available today but it’s not the Android 4.0 update.
Motorola Razr users in India might have received this update notification on their mobile phone and if you are one such among the users then you can push that notifications down and click on the Install button to install this update on your phone and start using the Android 2.3.6 official version. And for those users who haven’t received this update notification, the can initiate the process manually by going through the Settings > About Phone and System update.
We recommend users updating with this firmware through Wi Fi as the file size of the update is 100 MB approximately and if you proceed with your 2G or 3G plans then it will take more than 1 hours of time, so its recommend to update over Wi Fi.
