How to Root LG Spectrum VS920 – One Click Tutorial

LG Spectrum seems to be the one for which there will be an ocean of customization options as in the due course of this article we will be checking out on how to root your device just by following simple instructions.  Please note that once you root the device, the warranty gets void and the only way with which you can regain the lost warranty is by again updating the device with the original firmware which we will try to come up very soon on androidadvices. To start with, we will first be checking out on what are the list of pre requisites which you need to follow after which we will check out on the detailed tutorial to root in the next page. You will be happy to know that the procedure which we will be checking out is the one click type one and not the one which needs lengthy steps to root the device.

Pre Requisites:

• All the data present in your phone should be backed up so that just in case if the data gets lost or corrupted, the same can be restored easily.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

• Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Ensure that the USB Debugging option is ticked as shown in the below screen capture. 
• Battery charge left in the device should be the minimum of 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of rooting process.

So assuming that you have followed all the instructions, you can now proceed to the next PAGE where we have mentioned the detailed instructions on how to root the device with the simple tutorial.

Procedure to Root LG Spectrum with a simple tutorial:

• Download appropriate LG Spectrum VS920 Rooting Package (For Windows | For MAC or Linux) from here to your computer. After downloading, you need to extract the zip file to find the below shown folder contents, just in case even if single file goes missing then you need to check with download / extraction process.

• From extracted files, click on “Run” to open the rooting executable file as shown in the below screen capture.

• Now, you need to connect your device to the computer with the help of USB Cable to the computer and press “Enter” from your keyboard to start the process of rooting.
• As soon as the device is rooted successfully, the device will be restarting on its own. After this, you need to download “basic ROOT Checker” app from the Android Market Place and need to check whether the device has been successfully rooted or not.
• If the device is not rooted in an unfortunate event which is a very unlikely, then you need to re-apply the whole procedure so as to root the device.
