It’s now official that Sony Xperia NEO L would be their first smartphone which comes with pre-installed Android 4.0 update. This announcement comes from the Sony press department, headed in China. This smartphone should be soon made available in China first. So lets go through Xperai Neo L MT25i smartphone which is recently in the news as announced by Sony China.

Though this smartphones is powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, first instance of any Sony phones coming out with Android 4.0 phones, the good things about this phone just ends there. It’s ideally a mid-range smartphones and going through the specifications of it, it’s with 1 Ghz single core Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor with 512 MB RAM to handle the number of duties together. It has 4 inches display screen with TFT display coming out with capacitive touchscreen and text input is via the on screen QWERTY layout keyboard. The screen provides a maximum resolution of 480 x 800 pixel and various sensors like accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, magnetometer and ecompass are present. It’s quite limited in internal storage with 1 GB of ROM but thanks that it has micro SD card slot which can expand the memory of it to 32 GB via micro SD card. This is without any of those touch gesture controls as spotted in Xperia Sola and also lacks the ability of NFC so there would be no SmartTags support with this.
The 5 mega pixel camera at the rear is pretty much ideal for taking good photos and 720p HD video recording. The front facing camera can be used for video chat and video calls, though it’s with VGA capabilities only. This is phone has the form factor of 121 × 61.1 ×12.2 mm and weights 131 grams. It will be made available in glossy black and glossy white color which makes this device looks stunning at the consumer’s choice. It comes with 1500 mAh battery which provides a talk time of 7 hours approximately and measured are the 575 hours standby time during GSM mode, 410 hours in UMTS mode and provides maximum speed of 7.2 Mbps via 3G.
Moreover, just like other Sony phone this phone will also come with Music Unlimited from Sony Entertainment Network which offers music access to more than 13 million of unique songs and Video Unlimited provides watching of videos and movie listing. This phone is with Wi Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n allows you to go with Wi Fi hotspot, Wi Fi direct to transfer files from one to another device within no time, DLNA and HDMI connectivity. Since this phone is powered with Android operating system it comes pre installed with various applications like Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Docs, Google Search and Google Voice Search, moreover Android Play Store i.e., Android Market is always there for you to access various applications, install them, uninstall them and play with them around.
