After a busy week at Mobile World Congress late last month, the manufacturers are back of upgrading the high end smartphone what they have. Among the early to receive updates are Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, Galaxy Nexus S, Acer Iconia 510 tablet and today HTC rolled out the same update for Velocity 4G for the Telstra user in New Zealand.
Thanks to Telstra that they have pushed this Android 4.0.3 update directly to the HTC Velocity 4G users and it’s the first HTC smartphone to receive this Android 4.0 update in New Zealand. This update is received on schedule with the earlier reports claiming March 2nd week. HTC Velocity 4G is a high end smartphone which corresponds to 4G LTE speed in various countries. It has also been known by its other name as HTC Radar.
With Android 4.0 update, it will bring a host of new features added to Android and hopefully it will increase the speed and performance as well. With this Android 4.0, it will also update the HTC Sense user interface version to 3.6 instead of latest 4.0. The 3.6 version of Sense UI is made for the devices which can’t render Sense 4.0.
So if you are among the HTC Velocity 4G handset owner via Telstra as your network in New Zealand, then you might have received an update notification on your mobile phone. You can follow the on screen instruction and update with the same. No matter if you haven’t received any notifications, as you can manually update with the same over the air.
