Sharp Corporation, Japan based consumer electronics products manufacturer jumped into Android smartphones earlier, now tries they lunch by launching Android tablet. Sharp on March 19 announced RW T110 Android tablet which comes with 10.1 inches display screen and it will be on for sale from March 27, 2012.

During the announcement of this tablet, Sharp said that RW 110 is focused mostly on the enterprise and corporate users. The main feature of this tablet leaving behind the specifications are the NFC support of this tablet which is the first time that we have spotted in any tablets. It comes with short range NFC support, providing the IC card reader capabilities with FeliCa and ISO 14443 Type A. With that customer information can be called by membership card system.
Going through the specifications of this tablet, it’s powered with 10.1 inches display screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. On top of that it’s powered with TI OMAP 4430 processor clocked at 1 Ghz. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and has 8 GB of internal memory storage capacity. It has 2 mega pixel front facing camera and this tablet achieves a thickness of 9.9 mm with weight of 640 grams.
With 6240 mAh Lithium Polymer as the battery specifications you get 9 hours of continuous video playback time and 5 hours it takes to charge the tablet completely. It comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system which is not the latest Android version but that’s the best that Sharp can provide with this tablet. There is no word whether this tablet would be eligible for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade latter or not. The good thing is that you can downloaded and install various Android applications from Android Play Store for free and the paid apps as well.
Tablet comes with various sensors like acceleration sensor, gyro sensor, magnetic sensor, light sensor and GPS to track your position on Google Maps. This comes with host of connectivity options like USB, micro SD card slot to expand the memory, micro HDMI along with stereo speakers and communication is possible via Wireless LAN and Bluetooth v 2.1 with EDR.
There is no pricing attached with this tablet and Sharp says that its open for pricing for enterprises and it will be made available from March 27, 2012
