How to Root & UnRoot LG Optimus S LS670 – Tutorial

Procedure to Root LG Optimus S:
  • So assuming that you have downloaded all the downloads in your computer from the above downloads section, you need to now install the .net framework tools as well as the Visual C++ 2008 Redistribute package.
  • After this you need to enable the USB debugging in your computer which you can do from the path Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. After enabling the same, you need to connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
  • Now, unzip the Gingersnap tool in your computer and then click on “Gingersnap.exe” file in your computer.  So, once it’s opened you will get to see the image as shown in the below screen capture

  • All you need to do now is to just click on the “Root” option to root the phone. Now at a later stage just in case if you wish to un root the phone, all you need to do is to click on “Unroot” option.
